Greetings! We would like to cordially invite you to attend the Menstrual Health Management Inclusion Conference 2020 taking place on Saturday 8th February at Trademark Hotel Conference Centre, Village Market, from 7.30am - 11.30am.
The ability for women and girls to manage menstruation freely, without stigma, hygienically and with dignity directly ties into our human rights. The right to education, the right to water, the right to sanitation, the right to health, the right to work and the right to non-discrimination and gender equality are some of the basic human rights that often get taken away from women during their menstruation days.
It is time to have this conversation. It is time to take affirmative action towards ending period poverty and it is time to celebrate girls for coming into their own and becoming women as is indicated by their menarche. As we cannot achieve this on our own, we are continually seeking out strong partnerships with allies and community champions.
The MHM Inclusion Conference is the start of a monthly, nationwide campaign aimed at bringing conversations around Menstrual Health Management to the fore and hear from women and girls from all backgrounds, abilities and walks of life on how they want to achieve Menstrual Equality, plus include male allies who are championing to end period poverty. The campaign will also seek to amplify advocacy through community champions.
